ARRIVAL AT KOLKATA
Welcome on arrival at Kolkata and transfer to the Hotel. Kolkata is a city of Joy, contrast and culture. Once the

KOLKATA EXPERIENCE
After a late breakfast at the hotel start for a captivating heritage tour of Kolkata, commencing at the enchanting
Princep Ghat and continuing through an array of iconic landmarks that showcase the city's British Colonial
Heritage, including Bidhan Sabha, Kolkata High Court, Treasury Building, St. John's Church, and the heritage
buildings of BBD Bagh, featuring GPO, Writers' Building, Currency Building, and the Dead Letter Post Office.
Savor a cup of steaming coffee at the renowned Indian Coffee House, peruse the literary treasures at College

KOLKATA – BAGDOGRA - DARJEELING
Early morning check out and transfer to Kolkata Airport for onward flight to Bagdogra.
Welcome on arrival at Bagdogra and transfer to Darjeeling (95kms/3hrs appx). Once the summer capital of India,
Darjeeling is a land of infinite variety and charm. It will cater to you an experience of lively nature & charming
Himalayan people. It is the place of Dorje, the mystic thunderbolt of the Lama Religion. Surrounded by Tea
gardens; this little town faces some of the highest peaks of the Himalayas. Take a rest and then walk around town
to appreciate the new culture you are in. Overnight at hotel.
DARJEELING LOCAL SIGHTSEEING TIGER HILL & BEST POINTS + TOY TRAIN JOY RIDE.
Early morning start for Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular sunrise and its amazing effects on the Mt.
Kanchendzonga (World’s 3rd highest peak). Breakfast at the Hotel followed by sightseeing covering Ghoom
Monastery; Batashia Loop War Memorial; Padmaja N. Zoological Garden (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan
Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Self-help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tenzing &
Gombu Rock, drive past Tea Estate & Japanese Peace Pagoda. Walk around the Mall and Local Market (Closed
on Thursday). Enjoy Joy Ride in UNESCO World Heritage Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (subject to availability at
the time of booking). Evening Free for shopping & individual activity, overnight at hotel.
DARJEELING TO GANGTOK.
In the morning transfer to Gangtok (5200ft, 105kms/4hrs appx). Gangtok is the capital of the state of Sikkim is a
beautiful and clean town promising of the best monasteries and landscapes. Evening is free for individual
activities and leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Rumtek Monastery (24Kms / 1hr one way ) one of the largest Monastery of
Eastern Himalaya. It was constructed by His Holiness the late 16th Gyalwa Karmapa in 1960. It is the main seat
of the Karma Kagyu lineage in Sikkim, "The Dharmachakra Centre, a place of erudition and spiritual
accomplishment, the seat of the glorious Karmapa." A Golden Stupa contains the relics of the 16th Karmapa.
Opposite that building is a college, Karma Shri Nalanda Institute for Higher Buddhist Studies.
Later visit the Chorten or Stupa built by the venerable Truslshi Rimpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan
Buddhism, in 1945. Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday) established in 1958 it is a treasure trove of vast
collection of rare Lepcha, Tibetan and Sanskrit manuscripts, statues and rare Thankas and has over 200 Buddhist
icons. Institute of Handicrafts and handlooms (Closed on Sunday) while returning to the hotel, overnight
EXCURSION TRIP TO TSOMGO LAKE
In the morning start for a half day trip to Tsomgo Lake (12400ft), which is only 32kms from Gangtok City, the Lake
is almost about 1Km long, oval in shape and 15 mtrs deep. The Lake is considered sacred by the local
people. Evening is free at Gangtok individual activity and leisure. Over night at Gangtok.
GANGTOK – KALIMPONG
Breakfast at the hotel drive to Kalimpong (80kms /02Hrs) - a quiet hill resort in eastern Himalaya, Kalimpong is
famous for its orchids & Nurseries where some of the rarest cacti and orchids can be seen.
Check in at hotel and proceed for lunch. Afternoon explore the small Himalayan town starting from Durpin Dara
(Hill Top) – a beautiful view point from where small town and the surroundings hills can be enjoyed followed by
Zong Dong Palri Fo-Brong Monastery situated beside which belongs to Gelukpa sect. After that proceed to Orchid
Nursery and Dr. Graham’s Home. Overnight in Kalimpong.
KALIMPONG – BAGDOGRA – KOLKATA.
This morning after late breakfast transfer to Bagdogra Airport (65kms/02hrs) to return to connect your flight to
Kolkata. (Connecting Internation Departure Flight from NSCB Airport)
